karnataka election 2023

Union Home Minister Amit Shah told CNN-News18 in an exclusive interview on Tuesday that whether it is Kittur, Mysore, or Hassan, there is a huge wave ahead for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka ahead of the May 10 assembly elections.

The senior BJP leader said during the election campaign in the state, “Even in a small center like Yadgir, you can see people as far as the eye can see… I am sure the BJP government will come back with an absolute majority. “

He said that reservation for Muslims is unconstitutional. He said, ‘Congress did this for the politics of appeasement. We have removed Muslim reservation and increased reservation for Lingayat, Vokkaliga, SC, ST and OBC. I believe that no party can do unconstitutional things.”

He expressed confidence that the people of Karnataka will definitely bring back BJP’s ‘double engine government’ under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

“In Karnataka too, a new constituency of poor welfare beneficiaries has developed. In three months I have visited 15 times and I have seen that a huge army of beneficiaries are standing like a rock with Modiji.

He predicted that the BJP would win four seats in Hassan and do well in Old Mysore.

“Winning (Karnataka) is very important. This is the gateway to South India for us. Shah said, we will form the government with absolute majority.
