A heart-wrenching incident has happened in Bareilly, UP. In Matkapur village of Bhuta police station area here, a woman strangled her 6-month-old daughter and 2-year-old son to death. In the morning when the husband asked, he said that Durga Maa had come in a dream and said that kill both the children. So in the morning I killed both of them by strangulation.
On Thursday night, there was a quarrel between the husband and wife over some issue. After this the husband had gone to sleep near his father’s house. When he came to have breakfast in the morning, he came to know about the death of the children. On receiving information about this incident, SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan reached the spot and inquired. On the basis of her husband’s complaint, the police has registered a case of murder against the woman.
Had a fight with husband over drinking alcohol
The name of the accused woman is Jayanti. It is being told that her husband Betu Gangwar is addicted to drinking. There is often a dispute between the two regarding this matter. On Thursday night too, Betu came drunk and quarreled with Jayanti. When the dispute escalated, Betu went to sleep at his father’s house. It is being told that Jayanti’s mental balance is also not good.
Betu told that he had married Jayanti, a resident of Govindpur village in Bihar 7 years ago. After a long vow, she had two children.
In this case, the police have also questioned the villagers.
