In this case, PL Bharti had lodged an FIR against Rana at Hazratganj Kotwali on August 21. Bharti, the leader of Valmiki Samaj and Samajwadi Sarokar Foundation, alleges that Rana has hurt crores of Dalits of the country. have insulted them. It has also hurt the faith of Hindus. Amarnath Prajapati, General Secretary of Ambedkar Mahasabha, had also filed a complaint against Munawwar and demanded action.

The double bench of the High Court has turned down both their demands for non-arrest and relief in the trial.
