Mumbai-Kandla SpiceJet Flight Returns to Airport Due to Cabin ‘Pressurisation Alert’

A SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Kandla returned to the city airport on Saturday due to a cabin “pressurisation alert”, the airline said. SpiceJet said in a statement that the flight landed safely and neither passengers nor crew members reported any discomfort. However, the airline did not share the number of people on board the Bombardier Q400 aircraft.

The airline said in a statement that on February 18, a SpiceJet Q400 aircraft was scheduled to operate the airline’s flight SG-2903 (Mumbai-Kandla). He said, “After take-off, there was a cabin pressurization alert. The pilot-in-command decided to return to Mumbai.”

According to SpiceJet, the Mumbai Air Traffic Control was informed about the situation and the aircraft landed safely in Mumbai. The airline’s flight operations from Mumbai to Tirupati were also affected.

It has not been cancelled, the statement said, only the scheduled time of its departure has been modified.
