Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has been declared as the ‘Best Airport for over 40 million passengers’ in the Asia Pacific region for the year 2022 by the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards. Meanwhile, the Mumbai airport launched a first-of-its-kind Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) and Solar PV system. This comes as a part of the transition to becoming a 100% sustainable green energy consuming airport. In addition, the airport installed Electric Vehicle (EV) fast charging stations and added more than 45 EVs.

The airport also unveiled a completely refurbished General Aviation Terminal facility for private jets, redefining luxury travel through Mumbai. In addition, CSMIA launched ‘FASTag Car Park’ to ease parking payment system and reduce dwell time.
