Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the 11th Chief Minister of Uttarakhand after the resignation of Tirath Singh Rawat. After the resignation of Tirath Singh Rawat on Friday, his name was stamped in the BJP Legislature Party meeting on Saturday afternoon. Dhami is an MLA from Khatima Legislative Assembly in Uttarakhand. He will take the oath of office on Sunday.

Hyderabad-based company Bharat Biotech has released the final data of the Phase-3 clinical trial of its corona vaccine Covaxin. In this, the efficacy of the vaccine has been found to be 77.8%. At the same time, B.1.617.2 that became a cause of concern worldwide, i.e. its efficiency against the Delta variant is 65%. Covaxin is 93.4% effective in severe symptoms and 63.6% effective in mild symptoms. Phase-3 trials were conducted on 25,800 people in 25 hospitals.
