More than 51.74 lakh students applied for UP Board Exam 2022

More than 51.74 lakh students will appear in the UP Board class 10 and 12 board exams. This includes a total of 27,83,742 class 10 students and 23,91,841 class 12 students as per the information shared by the board. Besides this, a total of 58,70,938 students will appear for class 9 and 11 under the UP Board, which includes 31.92 lakh class 9 and 26.78 lakh class 11 students.

The combined numbers are almost the same as last year when around 27.7 lakh students had registered for the Class 12 exams, of whom 14,000 are private candidates. Around 23.42 lakh students had registered for the class 10 exam, of which 1.14 lakh are private candidates.

Earlier, when the number of applications was less than the 2021 board exams, then Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) The last date for the board exam application was extended till December 15.

UP Board’s 2022 exams for class 10 and 12 students are expected to be held in April after the assembly elections are over. Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma had earlier said that Marks of Half Yearly Exams Already Uploaded On the official website of the UP Board and the pre-board exams will be conducted in January before the elections.

With a large number of students in the board amid Covid-19, the board has the task of arranging the exam centres. The UP Board will set up exam centers using tagging and mapping techniques, the board said. The aim is not only to ensure social distancing, but also to ensure limited travel as well as mock-free exams for students. Schools not meeting the criteria set by the Board will not be set up as examination centres.

All schools have been directed to complete the syllabus by January 15, 2022. Like CBSE, the board had divided the examinations this year into two phases. It is compliant with CBSE and CISCE. Students will be assessed on 50% of the syllabus in Term 1 and the rest in Term 2. Last year no board exams could be conducted and the result was calculated on the basis of specific criteria. Thus this year many boards decided to split the examinations into two. The final results will include both term and internal assessment. If the examination of term 2 cannot be conducted then the result will be declared on the basis of the result of 1 and internals.
