PUNE: The district on Tuesday recorded over one lakh vaccinations in a day in September, with around 1.01 lakh beneficiaries getting immunizations till 7 pm.
Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, said that the steady supply of vaccines gave the much needed boost to the vaccination drive in September. He said that Pune district is getting good number of vaccines as compared to other districts due to its consistent performance.

The district is inching closer to giving one crore doses. Till Tuesday, the total dose of vaccine in the district was 98.99 lakh. Of these, 68.81 lakh were the first dose and 30.17 lakh were the second.
“Our instructions are clear to all units – take out vaccines at the earliest to get new stock. Now that Pune Rural is evacuating and vaccinating more number of people, we are allocating more doses to them. NS Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) comes in second,” Deshmukh said.
