Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his parliamentary constituency Varanasi after 8 months. They will reach Kashi on 15th July. Earlier, Modi had come on Dev Diwali on 30 November 2020. The Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth Rs 1,550 crore. He will visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and see the progress of his dream project Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Along with this, Modi will also inaugurate the building ‘Rudraksh’, a symbol of friendship between India and Japan.

Preparations are in full swing in Varanasi ahead of PM’s visit. On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will reach Varanasi to take stock of the preparations. A day earlier on Monday, the vehicles running in the Prime Minister’s convoy have also reached.

The route of the convoy is fixed, the hotel-lodge is being searched
Before the Prime Minister’s visit, a checking campaign is being conducted all over Varanasi. The station and all guest houses, hotels and lodges are being closely checked. Suspicious people roaming on Ganga Ghats are being questioned. A strategy has been made about which route the Prime Minister’s convoy will pass.

21 IPS will be deployed in security
21 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been deployed for security during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Varanasi. Apart from this 42 additional police superintendents, 65 deputy SPs, 12 companies of PAC, 12 companies of Central Paramilitary Force besides 5,000 UP Police personnel will also be on duty. More than 500 traffic policemen will also be deployed at the front.

136 under construction projects worth Rs 8238 crore
At present, 136 projects worth Rs 8238 crore are under construction in Varanasi. The deadline for completion of these projects has been set as January 2022. The pace of development work in Varanasi had also slowed down due to the second wave of corona virus infection. Once the impact of the infection subsided, development works have gained momentum once again.

Boat tour in the Ganges 8 months ago
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier visited Varanasi on November 30. During this, apart from inaugurating the Six Lane Project, he took a boat tour in the Ganges. Modi witnessed the grandeur of Dev Deepawali and the light and sound show at Sarnath. After this, the Prime Minister continued to interact with the residents of Kashi online, but could not come to Varanasi himself.
