- Animated photo replaced with profile picture, many spam messages sent in seconds

The official Twitter account of the Indian Meteorological Department (Meteorological Department) has been hacked on Saturday evening. The hackers changed the name of the account to india.eth, which was later removed. The hacker briefly changed the profile picture and header image of the Twitter handle and added an animated photo. Later both the photos were also removed. After a few seconds of being hacked, many spam messages were sent from the Twitter handle. Mrityunjay Mohapatra, Director General, Bharat Mausam said, “Our Twitter account has been hacked, we are trying to restore it.”
On searching the Meteorological Department on Google, the information of its Twitter account comes, in which the name of the account appears to be changed.
Twitter of CM Yogi Adityanath’s office was hacked
Earlier, the Twitter handle of UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s office was hacked late on Friday night. The hackers first changed the bio and then the profile picture of CM Office’s Twitter @CMOfficeUP. The hacker had also replaced CM Yogi’s photo with an animated photo in the profile picture of the Twitter handle. JP Nadda’s Twitter account was also hacked
Earlier on February 27, the Twitter account of BJP National President JP Nadda was hacked. Tweets related to the help of Russia and Ukraine were made from the Twitter account of the BJP leader. However, in the second tweet, Nadda had informed the users about the account being hacked. After some time this account was recovered.
PM Modi’s Twitter handle was also hacked
The Twitter account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was hacked briefly on the night of 12 December 2021. His account was tweeted to legalize bitcoin. A link was also shared in this tweet, on which people were asked to claim free bitcoins.
