Ishan Kishan jokes that Suryakumar Yadav stole all the credit after helping Mumbai Indians beat Punjab Kings by 6 wickets
Mumbai Indians pair of Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan took 6 wickets each in a run-fest against Punjab Kings in Mohali on Wednesday.
Kishan (75 off 41 balls) and Suryakumar (66 off 31 balls) struck half-centuries to help Rohit Sharma’s men chase down the required target of 215 with seven balls to spare.
The official Twitter handle of IPL shared a funny post-match chat between the two match-winners for Mumbai, in which Ishan teased Skye by saying that the latter stole all the credit from him.

“It was a good start, and you were there during the most crucial phase during a T20 game, you played good shots and it helped me take the pressure off to play the big shots. It was a very positive aspect in terms of the match which helped me get into my comfort zone,” said Kishan.

“I was standing at the non-striker’s end when you decked Sam Curran all over the park before the strategic break, I thought ‘the day I have a good innings, they take away all the credit, it’s up to me’ It won’t be possible, you shot in all directions” Kishan quipped.
Sky hit his third half-century in IPL 2023, and second straight half-century, having earlier repeated a similar feat against Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai Indians have moved up to the sixth position in the points table after their latest win.
