Uttarakhand: A drone successfully delivered vital medicines to a remote location in the hill state of Uttarakhand. The autonomous vehicle delivered tuberculosis medicines to a health center in Tehri, Garhwal district. The drone took off from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Rishikesh and covered a distance of 40 kilometers in 30 minutes. The journey by driving is approximately 2 hours. A quadcopter test flight was carried out from Rishikesh to transport medicines and other supplies and collect samples of tuberculosis patients from a health centre. “Many medicines and samples came via drone for TB patients from AIIMS Rishikesh in 28 minutes.
