Women account for more than half of the candidates who emerged victorious in the December 4 Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, results of which were announced on Wednesday. The report on the education background of the winning candidates in the MCD elections states that 126 (51 per cent) winning candidates have declared their educational qualification to be between 5th and 12th pass, while 116 (47 per cent) winning candidates have declared that they possess the educational qualification.
