Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Fans Association President Hayat Zafar Hashmi has been made the main accused in 2 FIRs registered in Kanpur violence. In the police investigation, the strings of Kanpur violence are being linked to the extremist organization Popular Front of India, ie PFI. Hayat, who runs a ration shop at home, was very active on the internet. He has been accused of controversial statements. Last year on October 21, Hayat had taken out Julus-e-Mohammadi. A case was also registered against him on this. Hayat’s name also appeared in the CAA and NRC ruckus in Kanpur.

On May 26, after BJP leader Nupur Sharma’s statement on Prophet Sahib on a news channel, at the behest of Hayat, on June 3, the parade market was closed and on June 5, Jail Bharo Andolan was announced. For this, posters were put up all over the area.

FIR No-3 : Residents of Chandreshwar Hate filed a case against unknown
On the tahrir of the injured Mukesh residing in Chandeshwar gate, the police of Beconganj police station has registered a case against the mob under other sections including assault, rebellion, spreading religious hysteria, attempt to murder. No one has been named in this.

Had Hayat not announced the closure of the market, there would not have been a ruckus.
There was an uneasy silence in Bekonganj since morning on 3rd June. Most of the shops in the area were kept closed after Hayat Hashmi announced the closure of the market, but shopkeepers from other communities opened shops in the market near the Yatimkhana. After namaz around 2.30 pm, people came out and started forcibly closing the open shops directly in the market.

When the shopkeepers refused to close the shops, then some chaotic elements involved among the people first started pelting stones by entering Chandeshwar Hata of Bekonganj. After this the atmosphere of the whole area deteriorated. Some mischievous elements in the crowd fired with a pistol. After the riots started, the situation quickly became uncontrollable.

Accused of inciting mother and sister to self-immolation
Hashmi is accused of instigating his sister and mother in a land dispute, following which both of them committed suicide by setting fire to outside the Kanpur DM office. However, the police have refused to give information in this case.

News of mastermind being arrested, not confirmed

There is news of the arrest of Hayat Zafar, the mastermind of the violence in Kanpur’s Bekenganj. However, no police officer is ready to speak in this matter yet. Earlier 36 accused have been arrested. Encounter specialist IPS Ajay Pal Sharma has been sent from Lucknow for its investigation.

Earlier, on the night of June 3, Ajay Pal reached Kanpur and held a meeting with the officers. After visiting the area, understood the whole matter. Operation has been started against the accused only under their monitoring.
