Manoharan: Mysore KV principal has assets worth Rs 2.5 crore, says CBI. Mysuru News – Times of India

Bengaluru: CBI Detectives have registered FIR against Manoharani M, K Principal Kendriya Vidyalaya In MysoreHe was accused of having acquired assets of more than Rs 2 crore disproportionate to his known source of income.
Police registered a case against Manoharan under the Prevention of Corruption Act, describing the alleged offense as “a public servant committing criminal misconduct by intentionally enriching himself illegally during his term of office”. According to the FIR, the accused and his family were wealthy over Rs 2.5 crore between January 2015 and December 2021 which “he cannot satisfactorily account for”.
CBI said Manoharan joined Kendriya Vidyalaya in Seoni in Madhya Pradesh as a PG teacher in 1995. He was shifted to KV, Jalahalli, Bengaluru in June 2010. He was promoted as Principal in 2012 and posted at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jorhat in Assam. In 2016, he was shifted to KV, Bengaluru and later to Mysuru in September 2016.
In the FIR, the CBI said that Manoharan’s assets were worth Rs 4.8 crore between 2015 and 2021, while his bank details and related records showed an income of Rs 2.3 crore during the said period. Thus, the value of the property has increased by 106% and Manoharan has amassed assets worth Rs 2.5 crores, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
