Mandira Bedi’s husband and filmmaker Raj Kaushal dies of heart attack

In an unfortunate turn of events, Mandira Bedi’s husband Raj Kaushal passed away on Wednesday morning due to a heart attack.

The couple’s friend shared the horrific news of Raj Kaushal’s demise on his social media page.

According to reports, Raj Kaushal suffered a heart attack at around 4:30 am and died before his family members could take him to the hospital.

He is survived by wife Mandira Bedi and two children – son Veer and adopted daughter Tara.

Filmmaker Onir also confirmed the news on social media and wrote, “Gone too soon. We lost filmmaker and producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. This is a very sad thing. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of the few people who believed in our vision and supported us. Praying for his soul.”

Raj Kaushal, who was a filmmaker helmed three films in his career – Pyaar Mein Kabhie Kabhie, Shaadi Ka Ladoo and Anthony Kaun Hai. He started his career as a copywriter.

His friends from the industry including Huma Qureshi, Apoorva Agnihotri, Sameer Soni and Ashish Chowdhary attended Kaushal’s funeral in Bandra on Wednesday morning. According to reports, Mandira Bedi is completely devastated after her husband’s death and the actress wept bitterly outside her residence after seeing her husband’s body.

Several celebrities including actors Ashish Chowdhary and Rohit Roy reached the Bedi-Kaushal residence along with the bereaved family members.
