Kanpur: A 60-year-old man allegedly killed his wife after a heated argument in Delhi MahobaOn Sunday night in Sadaryan Mohalla of Kharela police station area of the district.
According to neighbors accused Kalicharan was addicted to alcohol and often quarreled with his wife Sheela (55). Police said that the matter is being investigated.
According to reports, a heated argument broke out between the couple on Sunday night, after which Kalicharan allegedly killed his wife by hitting her on the head with a hammer. He then fled the spot, police said. Thereafter, Kalicharan informed his married daughter Chandni about the incident, who informed the police, a senior official said.
“The victim’s daughter got a call from Kalicharan on Sunday midnight, telling her that he had killed her mother. Preliminary investigation reveals that the man hit his wife with a hammer and fled. The young man often quarreled with his wife over alcohol. However, the exact cause of the incident is being probed,” said the SHO Dinesh Tiwari, He said that the weapon of crime has been recovered from the spot. news network
