A 40-year-old man has been arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting Congress MLC Pragya Rajeev Satav in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district. An official gave this information on Thursday.
Satav said in a tweet on Wednesday, “I was brutally attacked today in Dhavanda town of Kalamanuri village. Some unknown person attacked me from behind. It was a serious attempt to injure me and there is a threat to my life.”

A police officer said they arrested a man identified as Mahendra Dongardive after the MLC filed a complaint.
