Warangal: The task force police team led by Inspector R Santosh arrested Mangal Ram on the outskirts of Tekulgudem near Warangal under Dharmasagar police station area and found an illegal storage dump of 120 quintals of PDS rice on Thursday. The rice has been confiscated.
The accused and the seized rice have been handed over to Dharmasagar Police for further action.
Police said the accused confessed that he was buying PDS rice from nearby colonies and villages and selling it to poultry farms and needy people at exorbitant prices to earn money. Police also recovered two scooters, a weighing machine and a mobile phone from him.
