Mamata Banerjee hits out at PM Modi in Bhawanipur: ‘Won’t let India be like Taliban’
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday compared the Modi government to the Taliban, targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Mamta Banerjee was addressing a public meeting in Bhabnipur for the assembly elections.
Taking a jibe at the PM, the Trinamool Congress chief said, “Narendra Modi ji, Amit Shah ji, we will not let you make India like Taliban. India will remain united… Gandhiji, Netaji, Vivekananda, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Guru Nanak Yes, Gautam Buddha, Jain… all will be together in the country. We will not allow anyone to divide India.”
Addressing a public meeting in Bhabnipur, the TMC supremo accused the BJP of lying as a ‘jumla’ party and said that his government does not allow Durga Puja.
TMC chief said, “They lie by saying that we don’t allow Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja in the state: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee addresses a public meeting in Bhawanipur.”
