‘Malayali Chaiwala’ Joke Gets Out Of Hand, Prakash Raj Booked For Mocking ISRO Ex-Chief

New Delhi: Actor Prakash Raj has been booked for the joke that he cracked on former chief of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) K Sivan calling him the “Malayali Chaiwala.” An FIR was filed in Bagalkot district of Karnataka against the actor.

As per media reports, the complaint was filed by leaders of Hindu Organisations in Karnataka on Tuesday after his tweet on K Sivan attracted criticism from netizens as well as several political leaders who found the joke insensitive and derogatory.

Prakash Raj’s Justification for ISRO Joke 

Last night, the ‘Singham’ actor issued a clarification on his joke saying, “Hate sees only hate.” The message, Prakash Raj posted on his account on X said he was celebrating the Malayali Chaiwala and people took it otherwise. He said the joke was on those who did not understand it. 

He added that he clowning the times of Neil Armstrong, who was the first man to reach the moon.

Chandrayaan-3 Mission 

Every Indian is excited about the ISRO’s mission to the moon, called Chandrayaan-3. The part of the mission that will land on the moon, called the Vikram Lander, has finished some important tasks and is now floating above the moon’s south pole.

It is doing some checks and trying to find a good place to land. This is a story about a mission called Chandrayaan-2 that happened four years ago. The mission wanted to land softly on the moon, but unfortunately, it didn’t succeed in the end. In simpler terms, Russia tried to land a spacecraft on the moon but it crashed instead.
