The first look poster of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s Malaikottai Valiban has been unveiled. He has joined hands with talented filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery for the first time for this film. The now-released poster shows Mohanlal in a never-seen-before avatar, sporting a beard and long hair. The strength of Mohanlal’s character has been shown in the poster. He can be seen in a beige colored dhoti and a wrap shirt, looking fierce and ready for battle. He is also wearing silver articles around his neck and arms.

Mohanlal shared the poster on Twitter. It has full moon background. “And now, waiting has a face! Presenting to you the first look of Malaikottai Valiban! Keep encouraging us on our journey to bring this film to life.”

Earlier there were reports that Mohanlal will play the role of a wrestler and the film will be set in Rajasthan. The film is currently in its post-production phase and is expected to be a one-of-a-kind action film, set in different timelines.

The star cast of Malaikottai Valiban also includes Manikandan R. Achari, Sonali Kulkarni and Harish Peradi in key roles. The film is written by PS Rafiq and music is given by Prashant Pillai. Madhu C Neelakandan is handling the camera for the big budget film. It will reportedly be a pan-India release, featuring actors from major regional film industries. It will reportedly be one of the biggest Malayalam releases in recent times.

Mohanlal was last seen in the film Alone, which was a failure at the box office. Next, he will make a cameo in Rajinikanth starrer Jailor. It is an action-comedy directed by Nelson Dilipkumar starring Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles. Jailer will hit the screens later this year. Mohanlal also has L2, Burroughs and Jeethu Joseph’s film titled Ram in the pipeline.
