Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that in a major relief, the price of petrol and diesel has been reduced by Rs 5 per liter and Rs 3 per liter respectively.
Shinde told reporters after a cabinet meeting at Mantralaya that the decision would cost the exchequer Rs 6,000 crore. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the decision is part of the commitment of the Shiv Sena-BJP government for the welfare of the people.
