The Maharashtra government on Thursday directed school managements of all boards and mediums to waive off 15 per cent fees for the academic year 2021-22. According to a Government Resolution (GR) issued by the Department of School Education, if the fees are paid in full it should be refunded by the schools or the additional amount should be used for the next academic year. A Health Department official said that 6,388 new cases of corona virus were reported in Maharashtra on Thursday and 208 people died, taking the number of infections to 63,75,390 and the death toll to 1,34,572.
