Maharashtra crisis: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday took a jibe at the rebel MLAs present in Guwahati, terming them “jahil” (uneducated) who are like “walking dead”.

“‘Jahlat’ (lack of education) is a kind of death and ‘jahil’ (uneducated) people are like dead people,” Raut said in a tweet quoting Imam Ali.

Raut’s remarks came a day after he clarified his previous “living corpses” remarks to the rebel MLAs, saying he had used the normal mode of speech in Maharashtra and intended to hurt anyone’s sentiments. was not to do.

“There is an order for them to rest there (in Guwahati) till July 11,” Raut said while addressing a press conference today.

Talking to the media on Monday, Raut said, “His body is alive, but his soul is dead, this is a way of speaking in Maharashtra. What did I say wrong? I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiment, I just told the truth.”

Earlier on Sunday, Raut had called the rebel party MLAs “living corpses” whose “spirits are dead”.

Meanwhile, attacking the rebel MLAs of the party, Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray accused them of “betraying” the party and said, “Shiv Sena se filth nikal hai”.

Addressing Shiv Sainiks in Mumbai, Thackeray said party rebels were “enjoying” in Guwahati when parts of the state were reeling from floods.

Thackeray also claimed that 15 to 20 MLAs present in Eknath Shinde’s rebel camp are in touch with Shiv Sena and urged the party to bring them back to Mumbai from Guwahati.

He said rebel group leader Eknath Shinde was offered the chief minister’s post in May but he pretended.
