Palghar: A couple, who had recently recovered from here COVID-19 Infection, suicide allegedly in K Nalla Sopara Maharashtraof Palghar district, police said on Wednesday.
According to the police, Vijay Kadam (60) and his wife Jayshree (55) hanged themselves from the terrace of their house on Monday evening.
The SHO of Tulinj police station said the couple had contracted Covid-19 two months back and were confined to their home since then.
The official said that preliminary investigation revealed that the couple was depressed due to illness and may have ended their lives.
He said that the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem, while a case of accidental death has been registered.
