Maha Shivratri 2023: Gujarat Celebrates Shivratri with 31-Feet Tall Rudraksha Shivling – Watch

New Delhi: India is celebrating the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, a Hindu festival symbolizing the convergence of the powers of Shiva and Shakti. The pair of Shiva and Shakti is considered a symbol of love, power and unity. “The Great Night of Shiva”, is celebrated with the belief that Lord Shiva performs the “Tandava dance” on this day.

Meanwhile, Gujarat’s Dharampur took the Maha Shivratri celebration to the next level and built a huge Shivling that includes Rudraksha. A 31.5 feet high Shivling has been made from 31 lakh Rudraksh in Dharampur, Gujarat.

Meanwhile, several political leaders including Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari extended greetings on the auspicious Hindu festival of Maha Shivratri.

Meanwhile, preparations have been completed in the Shri Omkareshwar temple complex located in Ukhimath to decide the date of opening of the portals of Shri Kedarnath Dham, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The date of opening of the kapat will be decided on Saturday (February 18) on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri. Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has made special preparations for the ceremony to be held on the occasion of the date of opening of the doors. The entire temple complex is decorated with flowers.
