Manish, 32, was among four people (three policemen and a driver) who died in a collision with a truck in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Manish Kumar Singh, a resident of SI Beswan outpost. Ghaziabad, Firozabad head constable Sunil Kumar (34), Agra constable Pawan Kumar (33) and Aligarh driver Deepak Kumar (20).

“I don’t know how to tell the news to my daughter Priyanka? I told her about the accident but not about the death… Her younger son is just 10 months old. Life is unpredictable… Everything has changed I spoke for him on Tuesday evening and today, I am going to receive his body,” Raj Kumar said.

Dhiraj, the cousin of constable Pawan Kumar, who was torn by the accident, was aware of the accident but did not know that he had lost his brother.
“My father and two elder brothers have gone to Morena,” he said.
He told TOI that Pawan came home on Monday and went back the next day. He joined the UP Police in 2011, being the youngest of three siblings. He is survived by wife and two children – a daughter, 14 and son, 10.
The wait got longer for Sheela Devi, the mother of the driver, Deepak Kumar, who told him that he would be back in 10 minutes. Deepak recently bought a new Renault Triber. The inconsolable Sheela Devi said that they had tied the knot two years ago.
Iglas Circle Officer Ashok Kumar told TOI that the condition of constable Ram Kumar Singh is critical. He was admitted to Gwalior Trauma Center, from where he was referred to Rainbow Hospital Agra.
Stating that he had traced the location of the accused in Agra, Kumar said a case under section 379 of the IPC was registered against him at Iglas police station this year.
Morena SP Lalit Shakyawar said the accident happened at 3.30 am near Banmore on Agra-Mumbai National Highway-3, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
Shakyavar said that the driver appeared to have fallen asleep and hit the vehicle with the truck.
Expressing grief, UP CM Yogi Adityanath ordered officials to ensure that proper medical aid is given to the injured policeman.
