NS SD card Slots on the new 2021 Macbook Pro It was one of the most highlighted features by the company. However, it seems that some users are facing issues while using it.
MacRumors is reporting that several users have posted complaints about the SD card reader not working properly on the latest MacBook Pro models. Some users have reported slow transfer speeds, while others have reported inaccessible files using the SD card via the built-in slot.
A MacRumors reader named Wildact coined the issue as ‘super flaky’. The user has mentioned that half the time he will recognize the card, but it takes a lot of time to do so. Whereas half the time it gives an error. The user also mentioned that the problems he is facing are sandisk ultra leaves. The user further stated that all these cards work flawlessly through the three USB ports that come with the laptop.
Another post by 2Stephan read, “This is very disappointing. I was hoping that the import from the SD card including previewing the images would be quicker on my new 14″ MBP. I have a brand new 64GB SD card which was working fine. But there was no need to use the internal SD card slot on the MBP. Takes a few minutes. Show photos and sometimes crashes halfway. Sometimes Finder crashes too”.
However, Apple has not yet acknowledged sd card issue On 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro that were launched this year and also confirm whether it is a software or hardware issue. Some users are also reporting that upon contacting Apple, they have been told that the company is aware of the issue and that a fix is coming in a future software update.
