Lyca Productions acquires Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise

Tamil Nadu theatrical rights for superstar Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film Pushpa: The Rise have been sold to Lyca Productions for Rs 6 crore. The news was shared on Twitter from the film’s Twitter account.

The film opens in two parts and is currently in the post-production stage. The film is set for theatrical release in Hindi on 17th December. The upcoming big budget pan India film will also release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

As part of the promotion, the makers have released songs from the film including Dakko Dako Meka, Srivalli and Sami Sami. The makers have also announced that the fourth song will be released on November 19, and will feature Allu Arjun along with 1000 dancers.

The song Dakko Dakko Micah has already become a sensation on the internet. All the versions of the song – Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam have received good response.

However, the Telugu version got the highest response. It also set a record as the first lyrical song in South India with 6.4 million views and 6,57 thousand all-time likes in 24 hours. The lyrics of the song are penned by Chandrabos, while Shivam has lent his voice and Devi Sri Prasad has composed music.

Sukumar’s directorial also stars popular Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil in a pivotal role. The cast also features actor Sunil and anchor-turned-actor Anasuya Bharadwaj in pivotal roles.

The action film revolves around the smuggling of red sandalwood. The film is being produced by Maitri Movie Makers. On Monday, actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu was roped in for a special song by the makers of the film.
