LU officials said strict COVID-19 safety norms would be followed and no student would be allowed to enter the campus or classroom without a mask. The university will also install foot-operated sanitizer dispensers in libraries, girls’ common rooms, hostels and laboratories where student movement is high.
“The seating arrangement in the classes will be done as per the COVID-19 safety norms. In lectures, where the number of students is high, classes will be divided into sections. It will also be ensured that the premises and classrooms are sanitized at frequent intervals. LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said a decision on reopening the canteen and cafeteria would be taken after a meeting.
“From Monday, we will open some canteens following the government’s COVID-19 safety norms which are applicable to restaurants and food shops.
The decision to reopen all the canteens was not taken till the time of writing this news.
