The agendas for the meeting between BJP and TDP on Friday include a discussion over Chandrababu Naidu-led party joining the BJP-led NDA and a roadmap for both parties to work together in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly election which will take place before May 2024

Another round of meeting between Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will be held today, which is likely to cement the alliance between the two parties ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda in Delhi on Thursday night. According to sources, both parties are ready to join hands.

The agendas for the meeting between BJP and TDP on Friday include a discussion over Chandrababu Naidu-led party joining the BJP-led NDA and a roadmap for both parties to work together in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly election which will take place before May 2024.

According to sources, the BJP is asking for 6-8 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh, however, the final arrangement may be at 4-5 seats. Another round of meetings for seat sharing between BJP and TDP is slated for Saturday. Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda are expected to take part in the seat-sharing talks.

Discussion over seat sharing in the Assembly elections, however, is still awaited, TDP sources told CNN-News18.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan also met Home Minister Amit Shah and JP Nadda on Thursday night. Jana Sena Party, which has been a member of the NDA, has already joined hands with the TDP.

On the other hand, seat-sharing talks between the TDP and Jan Sena Party have already been finalised. Jan Sena Party got 3 Lok Sabha and 24 assembly seats.
