In an interview, 47-year-old Sharad Kelkar shared that Deepika Padukone was hurt and was dancing barefoot for the song Lahu Munh Lag Gaya.
Deepika Padukone is one of the most critically acclaimed actresses in Bollywood with hit films like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and others to her acting credit. One of her other remarkable films remains Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Deepika’s dedication to her craft of acting has been best described by her co-star from the film, actor Sharad Kelkar. Sharad played the role of Kanji Bhai in this film. In an interview with the Filmgyan portal, the 47-year-old actor shared that Deepika was hurt and was dancing barefoot for the song Lahu Munh Lag Gaya.
He recalled that the 38-year-old actress’s feet were full of bruises. “Full tape bandh ke usne 11 din shoot kiya tha pain mein. (She danced with tapes around her foot for 11 days, despite being in pain). Sharad added that Deepika had helped him despite enduring the pain of those bruises. According to him, one day, she stayed back to train him with the dance steps, which helped him to perform.

Besides Deepika and Sharad, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela had an ensemble cast of many talented actors. They include Ranveer Singh, Supriya Pathak, Homi Wadia, Abhimanyu Singh, Richa Chadha and others. Ranveer and Deepika’s on-screen chemistry was the highlight of this film.
As per the reports, Ranveer and Deepika started dating each other on the sets of this film. They later tied the nuptial knot in Lake Como, Italy and their wedding ceremony was held for 2 days, i.e.- November 14 and 15, 2018. Two ceremonies were conducted: one following Deepika’s Konkani roots and the other along Ranveer’s Sindhi customs. Both celebrities have now announced their impending parenthood, expecting their first child together, due in September.
Deepika Padukone is eagerly anticipating the release of her much talked about film Kalki 2898 AD. Nag Ashwin has written and directed this film which will be released at the cinema halls on June 27. Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and others will also act in this movie.
