Lock up: Munawwar Farooqui admits to being married, talks about son and wife

Kangana Ranaut Hosted reality show Lock Up is garnering a lot of attention from the audience due to its controversial contestants. Munawwar Farooqui, who is one of the most popular contestants on the show, is garnering a lot of attention from female fans. In the Judgment Day episode of the show, Kangana showed a blurred picture related to Munavvar’s personal life on screen. After the picture was displayed, Munawwar refused to talk about it saying that he would not like to discuss anything related to the matter. “I don’t want to talk about it. Not on social media, not on platforms like Lock Up. It’s not something I want to talk about,” he said.

Kangana Ranaut then revealed that Munawwar Farooqui is a married man and has a child. However, Kangana suggested to him that not coming out about it would only bring negativity in his image.

On Kangana’s advice, Munavvar revealed to have been married for years and had a child from that marriage. He shared that they got married at a young age. The comedian told that he and his wife are not living together for the last 1.5 years. He further added that their marriage and separation are already in court and hence he has refrained from talking about it publicly.

For the unversed, Munawwar’s co-contestant Anjali Arora recently confessed her feelings for the comedian. The news of their marriage shook him. Later, Anjali and Poonam try to pacify him and go to talk to him. Munawwar asked if he wanted to ask anything and he said that he did not. Poonam said that this is her personal life and she is different so she understands. Munawwar said that he lost himself trying his best and cried saying this.
