Lisa Marie Presley, who passed away following a heart attack, made her last public appearance at the recently held Golden Globes.
Singer-songwriter and daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley passed away on Thursday evening (Friday morning in India). She was 54 years old. The singer’s death was confirmed by her mother, Priscilla Presley.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter, Lisa Marie, has left us,” Priscilla confirmed in a statement to People on Thursday evening. “She was the most emotional strong and loving woman I have ever met. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this deep loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. There will be no further comment at this time.”
It came hours after Priscilla Presley posted on her official Instagram account that her daughter was “taken to the hospital” and was receiving the “best care”.
Lisa Marie Presley made her final public appearance at the recently held Golden Globes, which she attended with her mother to support the Baz Luhrmann film “Elvis,” based on her late father and legendary singer Elvis Presley.
In 2020, Lisa Marie Presley’s son Benjamin Keough died by suicide at the age of 27. Last July, she marked the second anniversary of Keough’s death on Instagram, sharing a photo of his leg tattoo.
