Lightning struck the flag pole of the famous Dwarkadhish temple in Gujarat’s Dwarka on Tuesday. The flag of the temple exploded due to lightning. However, no damage was done to the Dwarkadhish temple in this accident. The incident happened around 2:30 pm on Tuesday. The video of lightning falling on the flag is going viral on social media.

There is a dense settlement around the temple. In such a situation, if there was a lightning strike in the residential area, then there could have been a big loss. Local people say that the flag above the Dwarkadhish temple also has religious significance. This is the first time that lightning has struck any part of the temple. Dwarkadhish saved the people of the city from the accident.

Dwarka SDM Nihar Bhataria said that after the incident of lightning on Tuesday afternoon, the administration has investigated the temple premises. No damage was done to the temple by lightning. Only the flag has been damaged. After the investigation, the temple activities are going on as normal.
