‘Learnt the ‘art’ of Speaking for Hours From PM Modi’: Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Mocks PM’s Parliament Speech

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he learned from Modi the art of speaking for hours without answering any questions. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, while answering a series of questions as part of the ‘Ungalil Oruvan’ programme, hit out at the Modi government for not responding to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s questions on the Adani-Hindenburg dispute and BBC’s documentary on the PM.

He said, “There are many allegations on the BJP government and the PM, but he did not answer any of them. He himself is saying that the people of the country are like my shield. But people are not saying so. PM says That mud is being thrown.” Will help the lotus to bloom. Lotus grows only in water bodies, not in places where there is water and mud. I learned the art of speaking for hours without answering any questions,” said the Tamil Nadu CM.

Stalin further said that the PM’s address in the ‘motion of thanks’ was full of “rhetoric”. “PM’s speech in Parliament was full of rhetoric and did not contain any clarification on the BBC or Adani issue.

He said that the Sethusamudram project, NEET, state rights, interference of governors, not clearing the ban on online gambling bill were many such questions asked by the DMK MPs but the PM did not answer any of them.

On the government not agreeing to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Hindenburg Research report against the Adani group, Stalin said, “The allegations against the Adani group are directly against the BJP government. Even That the Supreme Court Benches are also hearing the matter seriously, therefore it should be debated in the Parliament and JPC inquiry should be ordered. The questions raised by Rahul Gandhi are valid. It is shocking that the PM has made these allegations. Did not answer.

Stalin came down heavily on the PM for his claim that the opposition is cowed down by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), saying that PM Modi himself has accepted that his government is playing “vendetta politics” against the opposition.

Stalin said, “This is the PM’s confession of using the ED. For the first time in Parliament, the PM has accepted that he practices vendetta politics against the opposition. This is not good for the country and democracy.”
