Late Irrfan Khan’s son Babil dropped out to pursue acting

Late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan’s elder son Babil decided to drop his undergraduate course at the University of Westminster to pursue acting. The young boy has shared on social media that he is dropping out to focus on his acting career.

Taking to social media, Babil wrote, “I will miss you dearly. my beautiful friends. I have a very tight circle here in Mumbai with 2-3 friends in total. You all gave me a home in a strangely cold place and made me feel like I belong. thanks i love you The movie BA, is out today, due to over 120 credits I am giving it all for acting so far. Goodbye University of Westminster. I love you my truest friends (sic).

Babil is all set to play the lead role opposite Tripti Dimri in the Netflix film Kaala. He has also recently announced a project with Piku director Shoojit Sircar. Babil got Shoojit Sircar’s next film opposite Ronnie Lahiri. Shoojit and Ronnie had earlier together given the hit film ‘Piku’, which starred Irrfan Khan, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles.

Sharing this news of collaboration on his Instagram, Ronnie Lahiri welcomed Babil on board with an emotional post for his father Irrfan Khan. He posted a few pictures and wrote, “Honored Irrfan sir for carrying on your legacy. Worked with a legend like you and now Babil. If this is not providence then what is?”

A few days back, Babil also shared some unseen pictures of his father and wrote, “I am working so hard man, wish you were a witness here.”
