Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last on Sunday morning at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where she was admitted for the last 28 days. Dr Pratat Samdani, the veteran singer’s doctor, released a statement revealing that Lata didi passed away due to multiple organ failure. He tweeted, ‘It is being informed with great sadness that Lata Mangeshkar is passing away at 8:12 am. He has died of multi-organ failure after being hospitalized for more than 28 days for COVID19,” he said.
