Punjabi Singer Sidhu Musewala may be no more in this world but the case filed in Chandigarh District Court regarding the controversial song ‘Sanju’ sung by him will continue. Advocate Sunil Mallan had accused the lawyers of maligning the image in this song. Regarding which a case was filed in the Chandigarh District Court in February this year. The matter is still pending in the court.

Advocate Mallan told that in the case Sidhu Musewala had not appeared in spite of the court summons and had been ex-party. Apart from Moosewala, Advocate Sunil Kumar Mallan had made Sanju Geet music director Gagandeep Singh, video director Navkaran Brar and others party in the case.

Musewala went but the case will go on

Advocate Mallan said that even though Musewala is no more in this world, he will pursue the case. He said that the singer of the song has gone but the case of recovery from the writer, composer, producer etc. will continue. On the other hand, if the court decides in his favor in his case, then the recovery from Moosewala can be done from the heir of his property. Advocate Sunil Mallan had demanded that the money earned from Sanju Geet should be deposited in the Advocate Welfare Fund of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana as compensation to the lawyers.

According to the allegation in the filed case, Moosewala used derogatory terminology about lawyers in the song Sanju. He deliberately did the work of maligning the image of the lawyer brotherhood. He made this song with the wrong intention.

Songs to incite youth towards violence

In the petition filed, it was said that Moosewala continued to incite the youth of the Border State (Punjab) to violence and riots through the song. Musewala was also accused of promoting gun culture. It was said that he used lewd terminology in the song. Moosewala’s act has been reported under sections of the IPC, Arms Act and IT Act. These include committing acts against the country, criminal conspiracy, common effort, hurting religious sentiments, hurting the image, intimidation etc.
