Kovid 19: Telangana reports 190 new cases of Kovid-19, 1 death Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: A passenger who landed on Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Shamshabad tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and samples were taken for genome sequencing. With this 3 samples are awaited for genome sequencing results. A total of 758 passengers landed at the airport on Monday. So far 5,316 passengers from high risk countries have reached Shamshabad Airport.
Meanwhile, 190 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Telangana on Saturday and one death occurred. A total of 5,336 reports are still awaited. The number of active cases in the state stood at 3,837. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,78,478 and the death toll is 4,008.
A total of 198 patients were declared healthy on Monday, taking the total number of cured patients to 6,70,633. The case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.59 per cent while the recovery rate is now 98.84 per cent.
On Monday, 38,187 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing of 2.90 crore samples and has reached to 7.80 lakh sample tests per million population.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported 70 cases on Monday, while neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri reported 7 cases. Ranga Reddy enter 8 more Sanga Reddy 2 new cases were registered. outside of Hyderabad City And its outskirts, Suryapet reported the maximum number of cases outside the GHMC limits with 10 new cases.
