The Bihar government on Tuesday issued new COVID restrictions in the state, making it mandatory for shops and markets to remain closed after 8 pm, except for essential services. Night curfew will continue in the state.

Here’s everything you need to know:

  1. Physical classes for classes 9 to 12 will be conducted at 50% capacity, while classes in online mode will be given more weightage. Apart from this, classes up to class 8 will be conducted in offline mode only.
  2. All private and government offices will function at 50% capacity. Also, no outsider will be allowed to enter the workspace.
  3. All religious places will remain closed for devotees till further orders of the Bihar government. Only priests will be allowed to worship in temples.
  4. A maximum of 50 people can attend weddings, while funerals can only be attended by 20 people.
  5. Only 50 people can attend all political, social and cultural events. However, permission has to be taken from the authorities.
  6. Cinema halls, gyms, shopping malls, parks and clubs will remain completely closed, while restaurants and dhabas can run at 50% capacity.
  7. Night curfew will continue from 10 pm to 5 am and shops will remain closed till 8 pm except for essential items.
