Due to Corona, there will be no Pitru Paksha fair in Gaya for the second time in a row. However, as soon as the Pitru Paksha begins, devotees will come and do Pind Daan. According to the information received from the Panda community, this time also more than one lakh people are expected to come. After this information, the Gaya district administration has made preparations and has issued many instructions for those who come to donate Pind.
Under the Corona Guidelines, a limited number of people will be able to donate Pind in Gaya.
There are some such orders of the district administration
- If possible, devotees from inside and outside the state should not come to Gaya for Pitru Tarpan due to Corona. There will be a ban on coming in large groups of people.
- In view of the paternal side, there will be no state program. The panda-priest should ensure this.
- Under the guidelines related to the Corona Guidelines, a limited number of people will be able to donate Pind.
- No special arrangements will be made for those who do Pind Daan at this time.
Pilgrims do all this for their convenience
- The pilgrims coming to Gaya can get information related to Shradh by contacting the police camp at the railway station, the district administration camp or the Panda Samaj camp.
- A control room is being arranged for the pilgrims by the district administration. Its number is -0631 2222 253, 2222259.
- A control room is also being built in the Sanvad Sadan located at Vishnupad temple. Here also pilgrims can get their problem solved.
- Pilgrims themselves can do the work of Pind Daan by contacting the Panda of their area.
If a pilgrim is not satisfied, he can directly reach the Vishnupad temple.
Pandas or their personnel will be present at the station to welcome
Shambhu Lal Bitthal, president of Vishnupad Mandir Managing Committee, said that Pandas or their staff from different areas will be present at the station to welcome the passengers who are coming by rail. Pilgrims can contact them to get information related to traffic, accommodation, food and drink. Pilgrims coming by road can also go ahead by contacting the Panda of their area.
He told that most of the passengers have some form of contact with the Panda of their area. Even after so many arrangements, if any pilgrim is not satisfied, then he directly reaches Vishnupad temple. There the pandas of all the provinces and regions of the country will meet and they will solve every problem of the pilgrims.
According to the information received from the Panda community, this time also more than one lakh people are expected to come.
Pitru Paksha will start from September 20
Pitru Paksha will start from 20th September. Those who perform Tripakshak Shradh will start the process of Pind Daan from September 19 itself from the Godavari pond of Punpun or Gaya city. Poornima Shradh will be held in Falgu on 20th September. It will run till 7 October.
City SP Rakesh Kumar said that the state fair of Pitru Paksha is not being held this time. However, there is information about the arrival of pilgrims. In such a situation, apart from the routine arrangements, preparations are underway to deploy the force at prominent places, so that law and order is maintained and the passengers do not suffer. There will be police pickets at all entry points. Along with this, police arrangements will also be made near all the major Pindvedis.
