KBC 13: Nitesh Tiwari talks on the short film prepared for Big B’s quiz show

Writer-director Nitesh Tiwari has made a short film titled “Samman” for the upcoming season 13 of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC). “‘Respect’ has many dimensions like our show. Sometimes, ‘Respect’ belongs to a person and sometimes a person can bring ‘Respect’ into dimensions. For example, sportsperson and great achievement Achievers respect our country, so let us all know how important it is to our lives. Thus, we considered it as the best subject for this short film,” Tiwari said.

The film has an episodic scenario, relatable characters and a tinge of humour. It is shot in Berchha, Madhya Pradesh, and stars Omkar Das Manikpuri and local talent.

“We auditioned a lot of people for each character. It was a very tiring process of casting, but at the end when we go through all the possible shortlists, there is something in Omkar’s face, his voice and his demeanor that he is right for her. Likes become. Dabba’s role,” Tiwari said.

The film took five days to complete. The filmmaker said, “Usually, the shooting gets completed in a day, but this time we have taken a different approach to shoot all the parts. So it took five days.”

On the essence of the short film, he explained: “‘KBC’ has been a big supporter of dreams and it is not only about winning money but also being a part of the hot seat. This film is for people who dream. That’s what they want to accomplish through this platform.”
