Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has started shooting for her upcoming film Merry Christmas today. She took to her official social media handle to share a picture from the sets featuring the clapboard. She didn’t caption the post, but fans were delighted at the announcement and took to the comments section to drop a heart emoji. The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan and also stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role.

Merry Christmas was officially confirmed on Instagram in December 2021 with a picture with director Sriram Raghavan and producer Ramesh Taurani. A few months back, Katrina took to social media to share a picture with the team and wrote, “New beginnings. Back on the sets for a Merry Christmas with director SriramRaghavan!.”
She further added, “I have always wanted to work with Sriram sir, he is a master when it comes to thriller storytelling and it is an honor to be directed by him. . By @rameshtourani & @sanjayroutraymatchbox Excited to work with @actorvijaysethupathi for this produced film.”
As per a source close to the project, the actress will complete the film in one take and once the studio schedule is completed, the team will proceed to shoot at live locations across the city. As per reports, the production of the film began at a studio in South Mumbai and will now be shot on location once the indoor studio schedule is completed.
Apart from Merry Christmas, Katrina will also be seen in Tiger 3 opposite Salman Khan. She will next be seen in Phone Bhoot alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter.
