Karnataka: 75-year-old woman ends life in Hassan; son and daughter-in-law held responsible | Mysuru News – Times of India

MYSURU/HASSAN: Halebeedu police have booked the son and daughter-in-law for abetting the suicide of a senior citizen in Hassan.
Kamalamma (75), a resident near Bharathi Kalyana Mantapa, in Halebeedu, in a death note had accused both son Manju and daughter-in-law Prathibha of harassing her and held both of them responsible for her extreme step.
Kamalamma allegedly jumped into Dwarasamudra Lake in Halebeedu in the morning hours of Thursday. Though she was rescued by the boat riders she didn’t survive. Cops found a death note inside a purse she was keeping.
Halebeedu police confirmed to TOI that a case under section IPC 306 was registered against the son and daughter-in-law based on the contents of the death note.
