Hassan: At least 18 calves were killed when a pickup truck collided with a roadside electric pole in the city Dayavappanahalli Village In Karnataka‘s Hasan late Wednesday.
According to the police, a total of 41 calves were being carried in the vehicle.
18 calves died on the spot while 23 were injured.
Local MLA KS Lingesh visited the accident site.
According to the police, the pickup truck driver drove on the village road to avoid the police check post.
“While driving on the village road, he collided with an electric pole on the side of the road. 18 calves died in the accident,” police said.
Senior officials reached the spot.
Injured calves will be sent to the district and surrounding cowsheds. Mysore.
Police said, “Investigation has been started.”
