Karat Farms receives pre-seed funding from Vriksha Impact Partners

Karat Farms, a Bengaluru-based smart kitchen garden company, has raised an undisclosed pre-seed funding from Vriksha Impact Partners (VIP). The company plans to use the funds to acquire more customers and product development.

Karat Farms was incubated at NSRCEL, a start-up incubation center run by IIM Bangalore. Karat Farms’ vision is to make kitchen gardening accessible, accessible and repeatable.

“NSRCEL’s incubation program has helped us effectively articulate the story behind Karat Farms and made it easier to raise funds and get investors excited about the idea and its potential. It has given us clarity on strategy, budget and hiring of talent,” said Qureshi Yusuf, Co-Founder, Karat Farms.

“Caret Farm was born out of a desire to give power back to the people. A kitchen garden at home makes a tremendous impact on nutrition, mental health, connecting with nature and our food. Funding will enable it to grow from seed to a tree, Prerna Goel, Co-Founder and Director, VIP said.
