Karan Johar shared an important announcement about his upcoming project on his social media handle on Sunday. The filmmaker unveiled the three lead actors of the film along with the name of the director. Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk are part of Karan’s new film in lead roles. Go Goa Gone fame Anand Tiwari is directing the project. Apart from the announcement, Karan Johar also penned a long note in the caption explaining how close the project is to his heart. In the caption, he also praised the film’s cast, director and his co-producer in the project. It will be an OTT release only and will be out on Amazon Prime Video on February 23 next year.

For producer Amritpal Singh Bindra, Karan wrote that he is proud of the warmth and creativity of the company he has built.
For director Anand Tiwari, he said he was “the funniest guy in town with a golden heart”.
In the post, the 51-year-old filmmaker said that he admires Vicky Kaushal not only as an actor but also as a “dignified and strong” human being. He also recalled the time spent with the actor and praised him. During the shooting of Lust Stories.
Apart from these, Karan called Ammy Virk a “powerhouse of energy and artistry in equal measure”. For Tripti, he appreciated her ‘perseverance’ by saying that her elegance and presence made every beat in the film rise.
Lastly, he expressed his gratitude to Amazon Prime Video for being “the most amazing studio and collaborator” on this film. He also said that he can’t wait to announce the name of the untitled project and termed it as “a riot of a heart-throb entertainer”.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar is currently awaiting the release of his latest project, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Ranveer Singh And Alia Bhatt in lead roles. It is scheduled to release in theaters on July 28.
