Kangana Ranaut was seated next to NSA Ajit Doval on a flight recently amid promotions for her upcoming film Tejas.

Kangana Ranaut will be making an appearance at the Lav Kush Ramleela in Delhi’s Red Fort on Tuesday, October 24. She will be burning the Raavan effigy at the venue with an arrow, becoming the first woman to do the Raavan Dahan in the event’s 50-year history. On her flight to the National capital on Tuesday morning, she was coincidentally seated next to India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

Kangana took to the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, to share selfies which she took with Ajit Doval. In the photos, the National Security Advisor of India could be seen smiling as he posed with Kangana. Kangana wrote, “What a generous stroke of luck, aaj subah flight mein I got to sit next to non other than the greatest of all time Shri Ajit Doval ji, while promoting Tejas (a film dedicated to our soldiers) I got to meet sir who is every soldier’s inspiration I consider this a great omen, Jai Hind.”

According to the President of the Lav Kush Ramleela Committee of Delhi, Arjun Singh, the decision to pick Kangana to burn the Raavan effigy comes in support of the Women’s Reservation Bill, which was passed by the Parliament in September. He told PTI, “Be it a film star or a politician, every year we have a VIP grace our event. In the past, we have had former President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi do the honours. Among film stars, Ajay Devgn and John Abraham have been here. Last year, Prabhas did the Ravan Dahan. For the first time in 50 years of our event, it will be a woman who will do the Ravan Dahan.”

Meanwhile, Kangana will soon be seen in the film Tejas, directed by Sarvesh Mewara. She plays the role of an Indian Air Force officer in the film.
